Helping You Find a Better Path

We do what we do for good reasons, whatever these things are.

Sometimes we yell because inside we’re not feeling seen. Sometimes we shut down because we’re feeling powerless and don’t know what to do with that. Sometimes we use substances, overeat, shop, gamble, or engage in other behaviors because we’re carrying difficult feelings and searching for relief.

At A Better Path Psychotherapy, we believe that understanding the reasons behind our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors is often the first step toward meaningful change.

Located in Armonk, NY, we provide psychotherapy services for adults, adolescents, couples, and families throughout Westchester County and offer secure telehealth sessions for clients across New York State, Connecticut, and Florida.

We are not here to judge the decisions you have made or will make. We are here to understand where those decisions come from and the path that has led you to them. Together, we work toward greater awareness, balance, and the ability to respond to life’s challenges in a way that feels more aligned with who you truly are.

Therapy Services in Armonk and Westchester County

Every person arrives with a different story. Some people seek therapy because of anger that feels difficult to control. Others are struggling with anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, or major life transitions.

At A Better Path Psychotherapy, we offer individualized therapy tailored to your unique experiences and goals. Our work may include:

  • Anger Management Therapy
  • Anxiety and Stress Management
  • Trauma and EMDR Therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Parenting Support
  • Life Transitions
  • Relationship Challenges
  • Depression and Emotional Wellness

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we work together to understand the underlying patterns that keep you feeling stuck and develop healthier ways of moving forward.

A Different Approach to Therapy

Many people come to therapy wanting to stop a behavior, eliminate a feeling, or “fix” a problem.

Our approach starts with a different question:

“What purpose has this behavior been serving?”

Often, the very things we struggle with today began as attempts to protect ourselves, cope with overwhelming situations, or meet important emotional needs.

By understanding these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, we can begin creating lasting change. Whether through traditional psychotherapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), or other evidence-based approaches, our goal is to help you move from reacting automatically to responding intentionally.
